Supabase has no separate price list for India. Teams here pay the same USD prices as everyone else: Free at $0, Pro from $25 a month, Team from $599 a month, and custom Enterprise pricing. But the plan is only part of the bill: each project needs its own compute, usage above the quotas is billed per unit, add-ons cost extra, and tax may apply. All Supabase figures were checked on supabase.com on 20 October 2026.
Key facts
- Plans: Free $0, Pro from $25/month, Team from $599/month, Enterprise custom. All in USD.
- Compute is per project: paid plans include $10/month of compute credit, enough for one Micro instance. Each extra project adds its own compute, from about $10/month.
- Spend cap: on by default on Pro. It blocks overage on items like egress and storage, but not on compute or add-ons.
- Paying from India: USD invoices, credit card only, and charges may show as coming from Singapore. GST is applied where required by law.
- Free plan: 2 active projects, 500 MB database each, paused after 1 week of inactivity.
- Mumbai: available as the specific region South Asia (Mumbai),
ap-south-1.

What actually drives a Supabase bill
Compute, per project
Billing is per organization, but every project runs on its own instance, billed hourly. Micro costs $0.01344 an hour, roughly $10 a month. Small is about $15, Medium about $60, and Large, the first size with dedicated vCPUs, about $110. The $10 credit covers one Micro, or offsets part of a larger instance. Separate dev, staging and production projects means three instances. Paused projects aren't charged for compute.
Usage over the quotas
Above the Pro quotas you pay the per-unit rates in the table. Edge Functions include 2 million invocations, then $2 per million; Realtime includes 5 million messages, then $2.50 per million.
Add-ons
Point-in-time recovery costs $100 a month per 7 days of retention. A custom domain is $10 a month per project. Log drains start at $60 per drain per month.
The spend cap
With the cap on, overage on covered items (disk size, egress, MAU, storage, function invocations, Realtime messages and more) isn't charged. It's blocked until the next billing cycle, and repeated overuse can bring Fair Use restrictions. Compute, custom domains, PITR, IPv4 and log drains aren't covered.
Three example monthly bills
Using Supabase's published prices, before tax:
- One Micro project, within quotas: $25 plan + $10 compute - $10 credit = $25.
- Production and staging, both Micro: $25 + $20 - $10 = $35.
- Production on Small, staging on Micro, 300 GB egress, spend cap off: $25 + $15 + $10 - $10 = $40, plus 50 GB of extra egress at $0.09 ($4.50), so $44.50.
For a rough rupee figure, at the ECB reference rate of Rs 94.93 per USD (19 October 2026), $25 is about Rs 2,370 and $35 is about Rs 3,320. These are approximate; your card's rate, forex markup and tax change the final figure.
Paying for Supabase from India
- Currency: invoices are issued in USD. You can pay from any card that allows a USD charge after conversion.
- Payment method: credit cards only. Charges may appear as coming from Singapore, where Supabase's payment entity is, so enable international USD transactions on your card. Many Indian cards need this switched on in the bank app.
- Declined cards: if an invoice goes overdue, Supabase pauses your projects and downgrades the organization to Free until it's paid.
- GST: Supabase's billing FAQ says it collects VAT, GST and other indirect taxes where required by law, with a rollout from 1 May to 30 June 2026. Whether tax appears depends on your billing address, and it shows as a separate line. If you're GST-registered, add your Tax ID on the billing page so the right treatment, such as reverse charge for eligible B2B purchases, applies. Confirm your own position with your accountant.
- Annual billing: no official annual plan, but you can prepay with credit top-ups.
Free plan: pausing and project limits
Free includes a 500 MB database, 1 GB of file storage, 50,000 MAU and unlimited API requests. The catches: only two active free projects, and they're paused after a week of inactivity. A paused project must be restored before it serves traffic, which rules out quiet apps you leave running. Our managed Postgres free tier comparison covers other free options near India.
Does the Mumbai region cost more?
Supabase lists South Asia (Mumbai), ap-south-1, as a specific region. The pricing page publishes one USD price list and doesn't show separate prices by region. One detail matters: the general "APAC" option deploys to Singapore, so pick Mumbai explicitly if you want your primary database in India. See our data residency guide.
How WoWSQL's plans compare on cost
WoWSQL is a Postgres backend-as-a-service from WoWSQL Technologies Private Limited, an Indian company. Projects run in Mumbai or US East 1. Prices are in USD, and yearly billing saves 7%. From wowsql.com/pricing, checked 20 October 2026:
| Free | Pro | Scale | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $0 | $25/month | $99/month |
| Database storage | 256 MB | 10 GB | 10 GB |
| File storage | 512 MB | 100 GB | 500 GB |
| Bandwidth | 5 GB | 100 GB | 100 GB |
| Backups | Not listed | Daily, 7-day retention | Daily, 7-day retention |
| Notable extras | Auth, Realtime, REST and MCP APIs | Edge Functions, email support | Custom domains, advanced monitoring, priority support |
Free covers one project on shared Postgres and needs no credit card.
Both platforms start at $25. WoWSQL Pro lists more database storage (10 GB vs 8 GB). Supabase Pro includes more egress (250 GB vs 100 GB) and publishes per-unit overage prices. WoWSQL's pricing page doesn't list overage rates or a price for extra projects, so email contact@wowsql.com before budgeting for several. Custom domains come with WoWSQL Scale, while Supabase charges $10 a month per project. For features rather than cost, see our Indian Supabase alternative page.

FAQ
How much does Supabase cost in India?
The same as anywhere else: Free at $0, Pro from $25 a month and Team from $599 a month. Each extra project adds compute, from about $10 a month, plus any usage over quota.
Can I pay for Supabase in rupees?
Not directly. Invoices are in USD and payment is by credit card. An Indian card works if it allows international USD charges; your bank converts to rupees at its own rate and markup.
Does Supabase charge GST in India?
Supabase says it applies GST and other indirect taxes where required by law, based on your billing address. GST-registered businesses should add their Tax ID so the correct treatment applies.
Is Supabase's Mumbai region more expensive?
The pricing page shows one USD price list with no regional prices. Choose ap-south-1 as a specific region, because the general APAC option deploys to Singapore.
Is WoWSQL cheaper than Supabase?
At entry level they match: $25 a month for Pro. WoWSQL Scale is a flat $99 with custom domains. Supabase can work out cheaper or dearer depending on projects, compute and egress, so price your workload on both.
