Self-hosted
Last updated October 22, 2026·Applies to Self-hosted
Apache 2.0, AS IS, community support only. You run the stack. No SLA or hosted backups.
In short
- Self-hosted is Apache 2.0 and provided AS IS.
- Community support only (docs, GitHub, Discord). Not paid support.
- You operate backups, uptime, and security. We do not.
What this is
We publish a self-hosted edition of WoWSQL (dashboard, API, Postgres, Auth, Storage, Realtime) under the Apache License 2.0. You download it, run it on your machines, and keep the data in your network.
Self-hosted is not the hosted Service. These Terms’ paid SLAs, platform backups, and email support do not apply to it.
AS IS, no warranty
The software is provided AS IS, without warranties of any kind, as the Apache 2.0 license says. We do not warrant uptime, fitness for a particular purpose, or that self-hosted will match every hosted feature.
Community support only
Help for self-hosted is community support: docs, GitHub, forum, and Discord. That is not paid support, not an SLA, and not a promise that someone from WoWSQL will answer in a set time. Discord is not a support contract.
You run the stack
- You install, upgrade, back up, and secure it
- You manage Docker, secrets, TLS, and disk
- There are no hosted backups from us
- There is no incident response SLA from us
- Misconfiguration, data loss, and downtime on your hardware are yours
License and trademarks
Apache 2.0 covers the code we release in that edition. “WoWSQL” branding on our hosted site is still ours. Do not imply that a self-hosted install is an official hosted region or a paid WoWSQL cloud account.
