Storage

Public objects are world-readable. You are responsible for what you upload.

In short

  • Public files are public. Anyone with the URL can read them.
  • Do not put secrets in a public bucket.
  • Illegal or infringing uploads are your responsibility.

Public vs private

Storage buckets can be public or private. A public object is world-readable at its URL. Anyone with the link — or anyone who can guess or crawl it — can fetch the file. Do not put secrets, personal documents, or paid assets in a public bucket.

Private objects require a valid request with the right key or a signed URL. You still decide who gets that URL.

Your content, your rules

You must have the right to upload what you upload. Illegal, harmful, or infringing files are your problem. We may remove content or suspend a project if we have to, including after a valid legal notice.

URLs and caching

Public file URLs may be cached at the edge (including Cloudflare). Changing or deleting an object may not instantly disappear from every cache. If you exposed a file by mistake, treat it as leaked, rotate anything inside it, and contact us if you need help.
