Terms of Service

Last updated October 22, 2026·Applies to Cloud and Self-hosted

The contract for using hosted WoWSQL. Other legal pages are part of these Terms.

In short

  • Using WoWSQL means you accept these Terms and the policies linked from Legal.
  • You own your project data. You are responsible for keys, SQL, and who you invite.
  • Paid plans are Free / Pro / Scale, billed by Dodo Payments. Self-hosted is community support only.
  • Our liability is limited. Indian law and arbitration in Thoothukudi apply.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using WoWSQL, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy, and the policies listed on Legal. Those policies are part of this contract.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new “Last updated” date.

2. Service Description

WoWSQL Technologies Private Limited provides a hosted backend platform, including:

  • Managed PostgreSQL in Mumbai (ap-south-1) and the US (us-east-1)
  • Auth, Storage, Realtime, and auto-generated APIs
  • Dashboard, SQL editor, and project team access
  • Sign in with WoWSQL (OAuth) for third-party apps
  • A hosted MCP server so you can connect AI tools to a project you choose

Self-hosted software we publish is not the hosted Service. It is covered by the Self-hosted policy and is provided as-is with community support only.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old.

3.2 Security. You are responsible for your password, API keys, OAuth apps, team invites, and every action taken with them.

3.3 Accurate information. Keep your account email and billing details current.

3.4 Sharing. Do not share login credentials. Invite teammates with roles instead.

4. Plans and billing

4.1 Plans. Cloud plans are Free, Pro, and Scale (or successor names we publish on the pricing page). Prices are listed in USD unless we say otherwise. GST and other taxes may apply.

4.2 Payment. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through Dodo Payments (or another processor we name in the sub-processor list). Fees are non-refundable except as stated in the Refund Policy.

4.3 Auto-renewal. Paid plans renew until you cancel in the dashboard before the renewal date.

4.4 Failed payments. If payment fails, we may suspend or terminate the Service after notice.

4.5 Changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice for the next renewal.

5. Refunds

Refunds, cancellations, SLA credits, and dedicated-instance billing are governed by the Refund Policy.

  • New paid subscriptions may have a 7-day money-back window as described there
  • Uptime credits for paid plans follow the 99.9% SLA in that policy, not a cash refund for unused days
  • Free plan has no refund because there is no charge

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • Break the law or third-party rights
  • Store or send illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Attack systems, send spam or malware, or commit fraud
  • Access another customer’s project without permission
  • Probe, scrape, or overload the platform beyond documented APIs
  • Mine cryptocurrency or run similar abusive workloads
  • Resell the hosted Service without a written agreement with us

We may suspend accounts that violate this section.

7. Service levels and support

7.1 Uptime. For paid cloud plans we target 99.9% monthly uptime, excluding scheduled maintenance and issues outside our control. Credits, if any, are in the Refund Policy. Free plan has no uptime commitment.

7.2 Maintenance. We aim to announce planned maintenance at least 48 hours ahead on status.

7.3 Support.

  • Free: community support only (docs, forum, Discord)
  • Pro: email support
  • Scale: priority email support

Self-hosted receives community support only. See the Self-hosted policy.

These pages are part of the Terms and explain how the platform actually works:

You keep ownership of project data. We process it only to provide the Service. You are responsible for keys, SQL, row-level security, public files, and who you authorize.

9. AI assistants and MCP

Hosted MCP and in-product AI (including Mera on Amazon Bedrock) are optional. By approving a connection you authorize the scopes and project shown on the consent screen. Third-party clients (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and others) are separate companies. Details are in the AI and MCP policy and Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for SQL and other actions those tools take with your approval. Do not send payment card data, government IDs, health records, or secrets through AI tools unless you have a lawful basis and safeguards.

10. Intellectual property

The hosted Service, branding, and our software (except open-source components under their licenses) belong to WoWSQL. You own your data and your application. You grant us a limited license to host, back up, and transmit your data solely to operate the Service.

11. Termination

11.1 By you. Cancel in the dashboard. Access continues until the paid period ends unless the Refund Policy says otherwise.

11.2 By us. We may suspend or terminate for Terms violations, non-payment, legal risk, or with 30 days’ notice.

11.3 Data after termination. Account deletion follows a 30-day grace period, then permanent delete, as described in Retention and deletion. Project deletion is immediate and irreversible. Export before you delete.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits, or data loss
  • Our total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (or INR 10,000 if you are on the Free plan)
  • We are not liable for third-party apps, AI clients, or self-hosted deployments

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum allowed.

13. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify WoWSQL and its officers, employees, and agents against claims arising from your content, your use of the Service, your OAuth or MCP grants, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.

14. Disputes

14.1 Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to arbitration below.

14.2 Arbitration. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, in English, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator.

14.3 Class actions. You waive participation in class or representative actions to the extent permitted by law.
